Internationally trained gourmet cook James McColl invites you and your friends to join him at one of Clare's premier Bed & Breakfast retreats.

The home, originally built in the late 1970s, has been stylishly renovated by James over a period of 18 months into a contemporary living space with 4 separate rooms, updated bathroom facilities, an elegant dining area and leisure room.

James offers breakfast as part of his booking packages and if you feel like staying in for the night, he will even prepare you a sumptuous home-cooked dinner to your liking.

"I wanted to give people the chance to come to surroundings they find comfortable, with all the modern conveniences, without losing the essence of the simple, unpretentious beauty which is the Clare Valley. I mean, it's the reason for coming here in the first place" says James when asked about the passion behind the renovation project.

When pressed about the offer to cook dinner for his guests, James, through a broad, grinning smile, explains, "It's all part of the experience here at Wright Place Country House. I love people and I love to cook for people!"
